Event information
The Boland edition of Lamb Champs brings together 100 of South Africa's sheep farmers for a full-day Heritage Day festival centred on spit-roasted lamb, held at Hoër Landbouskool Boland in one of the region's established agricultural settings. Tickets include access to lamb tastings served from the competing spits throughout the day, while stock lasts.
Beyond the tastings, the day features live performances from Henru & Schwabie, Heuwels Fantasties, Robbie Wessels and Francois van Coke, alongside a Toyota Urban Trax activation, a Sheep Head Eating Competition and a Wool Carry Competition. A fully stocked beer tent, exhibitor stalls and a large children's play area round out the family-oriented programme.
Lamb Champs positions itself as more than an entertainment event, aiming to connect consumers directly with the farmers behind the meat on their plates and to support the long-term sustainability of family farming in the region.
