The Golden Oldies concerts at Kirstenbosch typically feature a mix of iconic South African bands and artists, often celebrating the music of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. These concerts are a nostalgic celebration of South African music from the past, with notable artists occasionally joining the stage. This year's lineup includes saxophonist Andrew Young, and the much-loved Mzansi Tenors - the South African vocal ensemble known for blending classical music with traditional African sounds.
Concertgoers are welcome to pack a picnic, or to pre-order five days ahead from the Kirstenbosch Tea Room or Moyo Restaurant. Food trucks are also available at every show.
Tickets may be booked through Webtickets, at Pick n Pay stores nationwide and at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden gate.
The concerts are non-smoking events. Please note there are no designated smoking areas anywhere at the concerts, or in the garden.
