Event information
Grammy-nominated R&B singer Kenny Lattimore returns to Cape Town for a one-night concert, his first major performance in the city in more than ten years. The show is presented by Vertex Events and marks a chapter in a South African touring relationship that spans over two decades.
Lattimore, born in Washington D.C., rose to prominence with his 1996 self-titled debut album, which produced the Grammy-nominated single "For You", widely used as a wedding anthem, as well as "Never Too Busy" and "Forever." He has since released eight solo studio albums and two collaborative albums recorded with singer Chanté Moore.
His catalogue spans contemporary R&B, classic soul, gospel, and jazz-influenced material, and he has recorded contributions to film soundtracks including Love Jones and Simba's Pride (The Lion King II). He was inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame and received an NAACP Image Award for Best New Artist.
The programme is expected to include "For You", "Never Too Busy", "All My Tomorrows", "When I Said I Do", "Weekend" and "Stay On Your Mind." Tickets are also available at Pick n Pay stores nationwide.
