The details
Kalk Bay Theatre offers spirited productions of music, comedy and cabaret to its dedicated community. The atmosphere is a big part of the experience. Formerly housed in an old church, the theatre moved in 2020 to a shoreline building which seats up to 100 people. The setting is cabaret style, with seating around cocktail tables complemented by surrounding views. The venue has a removable glass roof which can be opened on hot summer nights.
Having partnered with the Brass Bell restaurant, the theatre gives preferential seating for patrons who dine at the restaurant before a show.
Comedy nights are on every second Wednesday. Theatre shows are performed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Live music by local bands or artists is on every Sunday. The theatre also hosts once off shows that are 75 minutes long, starting at 8pm.
