The gallery prides itself on a unique collaboration with San Bushman artists and retains a wide variety of prints, paintings and textiles thereof.
Overlooking Kalk Bay Harbour, the gallery is situated above the Olympia Bakery landmark, and offers views across False Bay. It houses a Framing Studio, contemporary art gallery and craft shop.
Works on view include a unique selection of fine art prints, oil paintings, photography, ceramics, and its own range of Art-I-San textiles (Ekoka textiles).
It showcases an eclectic selection of emerging young talents on the South African art scene, as well as established and well-known names; crafts from developing community groups: and local designer products.
Kalk Bay Modern's promotion of local craft initiatives stand side-by-side with collectable South African exports, such as William Kentridge, Nicolaas Maritz and Cecil Skotnes.
