An information resource for South African art, the Johans Borman Fine Art Gallery showcases paintings, graphics and sculpture.
The Cape Town-based gallery presents solo, group, and curated exhibitions which juxtapose modern masters with their contemporary counterparts. It also participates in charity auctions for The Homestead Sponsorship Programme, which was established for the educational expenses of boys at The Homestead’s Children’s Home in Khayelitsha.
This has been supported by Johans Borman Fine Art since its inception in 2007. In addition to the gallery’s contributions, the artworks offered on these online auctions are also donated by artists and private donors. All payments are made directly to the Sponsorship Programme.
With South African collectors paying millions of rands for works by the country’s most desirable artists, gallerist Bormans’ view is that our art has become a recognised asset class.
