Each year in September, the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation (JHF) hosts a weekend of Heritage tours allowing Joburgers to better discover their city.
The weekend features two days of fun, 12 tours, a Big Book Sale, and delicious food, and is a great way to celebrate the city in all its forms. The tours are run by amazing volunteers who possess a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm and share information about all the important heritage-related activities that the JHF supports.
The 2024 programme includes tours that dive into St Luke’s and Icons of the Struggle, Murder and Madness in the North, the Noordgesig neighbourhood, The Mansions of Oxford Road and more.
