The Irene Village Market is an arts and crafts market at the Big Red Barn in Olifantsfontein. The accoladed market only trades original art and craft products with all traders meeting strict market criteria.
It is conveniently situated, as patrons can also find an Acrobranch park and Segways for kids. Guests will find a fully-licensed tea garden, numerous food stalls and over 300 stalls and exhibits with products ranging from art and craft to clothing, delicacies, antiques, flowers and curio.
The market offers family entertainment and is a great environment for kids. Pony and camel rides are kid favourites, with activities such as candle-making and jump-castles to keep children entertained while parents shop. The market is situated in the scenic Sunlawns Estate grounds, with views of the expansive grasslands and Kaal river.
Irene Village Market is open on the first and last Saturday of every month and is dog friendly.
