Event information
Celebrating 20 years of handcrafted luxury, Homewood shares its passion for the environment through its products, offering sustainable, handmade wood furniture inspired by South Africa’s rich cultural heritage and natural landscape.
“We are passionate about creating furniture that adds warmth and character to any space. This means celebrating the knots or “imperfections” in the grain, which we believe makes each design truly one-of-a-kind, like a work of art,” says Homewood.
Made from 100% sustainable and locally sourced hardwoods, Homewood furniture is beautifully designed and made to last a lifetime. Designed for comfort, functionality, and, most importantly, to make you feel at home, Homewood’s extensive furniture range includes indoor and outdoor collections, with items ranging from four-poster beds and desks to outdoor dining and lounge sets made with various types of sustainably sourced hardwoods such as Cottonwood, River Red Gum, Blackwood and Sugar/Spotted Gum. This wood is sourced through the Working for Water Programme – which tackles the problem of alien invasive trees. Homewood purchases alien-invasive biomass cleared by the programme and turns it into one-of-a-kind, artisanal furniture pieces, giving back to the earth by freeing up local waterways.
Their ethos is simple, personal, and impactful. They share the vision of eco-friendly practices and provide a fruitful workspace for staff members to strengthen their trade and grow.
