Artist Gregory Olympio opens his third solo exhibition with blank projects, titled 'Ceux qui sont partis et ceux qui sont restés'.
This show is mainly a retrospective of work produced during his three month residency in Cape Town earlier in the year.
Resulting from this residency is a collection of works repetitively depicting faces and portraits. In this space, encounter a reckoning with what are known as 'interstitial spaces': the spaces that exist between things (like borders and cultures).
The works reflect the artist's childhood where he grew up moving between many different places, and in turn, shifted between many different cultural spaces and environments.
'Ceux qui sont partis et ceux qui sont restés' runs until 12 October 2024.
