Event information
Good Thyme Living in Kempton Park aims to promote functional gardens filled with herbs that promote health and wellbeing. In the three-hour workshop, they help visitors understand different plant components and navigate a food herbary, learning how to create one and harvest it in the best way.
The workshop is all about adding herbs and edible flowers to the garden and learning the correct way to grow these specialist plants. Gardeners and guests work in the Good Thyme Garden and learn traditional old school methods for using a herbarium or pottage garden for fresh cooking ingredients. The workshop is practical and guests work with real plants.
Vsitors get a certificate of completion at the end of the workshop. Tea, coffee and cookies are served upon arrival and at a tea break.
