God Emperor is a fantasy Mega game of power, lies, and regicide in which teams of players must compete against each other to win.
Mega games combine live-action role-playing (LARP), board games and wargaming into one chaotic collaborative adventure. The game lasts throughout the day and is broken up into turns where players are split into teams, with roles, resources and goals they hope to achieve in the game. Once the control team briefs players they can take the story whichever way they want, the only limit being their imagination.
The basics: Teams of 3-5 players must take on the role of Noble Houses who hope to take down the mysterious God Emperor. To do this they will have to command armies, make laws, and plan treason to take control of the throne. On top of that teams must also arrange marriages, hold funerals, and duel challengers for their house's honour.
A Control Team adjudicates the rules and keeps the game running, allowing players to come up with wild ideas and strategies for their team.
If you don't have a team, you'll be allocated to one. Tickets can be booked individually or as a team for a discount.
A survey is sent out a few weeks before the game to choose your House's banner, write a motto and a background and choose a house colour. Players need to bring drinks and snacks. Everything else is provided. It is also encouraged to dress up in house colours.
