Event information
Their intimate and convivial contemporary space first opened its doors in September 2017. They show selective solo and group exhibitions, highlighting contemporary African and foreign artists representing work across various media and art disciplines. The gallery provides a congenial and accessible space within which upcoming artists can expand their repertoire, refine their skills, and access a wider audience.
The Leap Collective (TLC) operates from the gallery. The objective being to create a community of collaborating artists. Their collaborative focus is experimental art events and workshops that they plan, and host. The Collective aims to subvert the perception of the gallery space and artist collaboration by creating an alternative exhibition venue airing the desires of the artist. By contributing to their costs, artists become part of this platform for three months. This allows them access to the venue to document their work, as well as other benefits.
