Food Jams says "bonsoir et bienvenue" to their French Elegance cooking class, an evening dedicated to the finesse and sophistication of French cuisine. This class is a special instalment in their series exploring the diverse and rich culinary cultures from around the globe. Delve into the heart of France, where culinary tradition and innovation meet in delightful harmony.
Guests create a mix of simple and sophisticated dishes and the class is capped at two-and-a-half hours. Cooking stations are in pairs, and each pair can cook and plate together in the form of a sharing feast, or create an individual main with dessert. Guests receive two themed canapés and a non-alcoholic welcome drink on arrival before delving into the hands-on main course preparation from scratch.
To cap off the evening, dessert is then prepared by hosts and plated by guests. This French cooking class features a Mini Quiche Lorraine and Goat Cheese and Fig Tartlets canapés, a Chicken Chasseur with Creamy Mashed Potatoes main, and a Crème Brûlée dessert. All proceeds of this cooking class go to the sponsorship of the student tuition at the Culinary Academy South Africa, the hosts of Food Jams, affording future culinary stars the support on their culinary journey.
