The Franschhoek Village Market hosts its festive two-day market in the heart of the village, in the old church gardens beneath the historic oak trees. Locals and holidaymakers browse a curated selection of handmade and heartfelt gifts, from leather goods, jewellery and original artwork to children’s toys, clothing and crafts.
More than 100 hand-picked traders take part, offering arts and crafts, vintage clothing, antiques, delicatessens, fresh produce, craft beer and coffee, with affordable artisan food to pair with wines from the Franschhoek valley. Live music plays across the weekend.
The market is family-friendly, with a play area for children, and dogs on leads are welcome. Entry is free and there is ample parking, but the market is weather-dependent, so check its pages before you go.
