Event information
Renowned storyteller Cameron Peters leads participants on a journey through the iconic locations and unique history of this mini-riviera between Muizenberg and Kalk Bay.
From the ocean views to the cocktail bars, this walking tour is an opportunity to delve deep into the people and places of False Bay's scenic suburbs. Along the way, participants will be told all about the area's infamous Randlord speculators, stowaway Filipino sailors, press-ganged West African soldiers, ex-pat Mediterranean artisans and the cream of South African fishermen.
Starting at the iconic Striped Horse bar and finishing at Olympia Cafe, this is a slow walking tour with frequent stops for pictures and ice cream. R10 from each ticket goes to Waves for Change, which provides mental health support for youth in Cape Town's coastal communities.
