Fairview is most renowned for its Goat Tower, diverse and high-quality wine portfolio, innovative farm-to-table dining, and the warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it a standout destination for wine lovers and food enthusiasts. It is the perfect destination for anyone seeking a friendly and captivating experience.
The Fairview Tasting Room is one of the most popular Cape winelands destinations, building on a reputation that stretches back to the 1970′s
The world-renowned tasting room consists of 4 unique, barrel-shaped 'pods' that facilitate a welcoming and more social tasting. The custom-designed pods offer a tasting selection of 6 different wines with dedicated hosts to guide and assist guests. Your tasting also includes an expertly paired selection of 6 Fairview cow and goat's milk cheeses. The standard tasting is R60 with a selection of 6 wines paired with 6 cheeses.
Fairview also offers guests a chance to experience the Beryl Back Master Tasting. Thanks to a long-held reputation for the exceptional customer service, Fairview has one of the most sought-after tastings in the winelands. Managed by the highly qualified Tasting Hosts, the elegant Beryl Back tasting room is set apart from the main tasting area, offering seated, tutored tastings in an exclusive, educational setting.
To top the experience off, each Master Tasting comes with carefully paired Fairview cheese, freshly baked artisanal bread and the farm-made olive oil. The Master Wine & Cheese Tasting is R125 per person.
The Fairview Deli, located in the Tasting Room, is always bustling with activity, inviting visitors to browse the layers of delicious condiments and old-fashioned jams to free-range farm eggs and the unmissable artisanal breads. The Fairview cheese is undoubtedly the biggest draw card, with a range of over 50 cow’s milk and goat’s milk cheeses. The Deli is open Monday to Sunday 9am - 5pm
Fairview bakers are up with the birds, kneading and rolling out hand-made dough to bring you a variety of scrumptious baked goods, including buttery croissants, healthy seed loaf and very popular salty bretzels every day. Also, every Easter the bakers are busy at work making dozens of mosbolletjies – a farm favourite.
Join Farmer Donald on one of his newly curated farm tours aimed at giving you an educational Fairview experience. There will be two tours on offer to start with and a few more to be made available soon. The first tour on offer will be the Goat Tour followed by an informal Standard Wine & Cheese tasting at the Fairview Tasting Room. The tour is R150 per person.
Undoubtedly the best part - also the most whimsical - about Fairview is the iconic Goat Tower. It is the perfect encapsulation of the warm, welcoming and whimsical nature of Fairview which makes it fondly distinct from anything else you know.
