Event information
With events in 30+ cities, over 100k+ attendees, and recognition from Vice as "The World’s Coolest Day Party", Everyday People celebrates the sound, style, and spirit of Black culture and the African diaspora. The final stop on the African tour in 2026 is Cape Town, with the Mother City's African community invited to enjoy Afrobeats, Amapiano, Dancehall, Soca, Hip-Hop, R&B, House, and more.
Founded in New York City in 2012 to provide a safe space for African-Americans and people of colour to connect with music from the diaspora, it has grown into a global party held worldwide. The event has been held in Cape Town every December since 2018, with beloved local DJs, such as DJ Moma, bringing the grooves.
The event is strictly 18+, and all attendees agree to be photographed and recorded for use by Strictly Soul and their partners for promotional and brand material.
