Durbanville Wine Safari, the hop-on hop-off wine tour service launched in the Durbanville Wine Valley in October 2024, is hosting a special one-day couples event at the Royal Burgundy Mashie Golf Course on 6 June 2026. The format runs both experiences simultaneously: one partner plays 9 holes of mashie golf with two complimentary beers included, while the other follows a separate wine and food programme comprising a welcome glass of Cap Classique, a six-wine tasting, and a charcuterie cup.
Mashie golf is a compact, accessible form of golf played on short par-3 holes using a single club, making it a practical format for casual players or those new to the game. The Royal Burgundy Mashie Golf Course sits within Burgundy Estate on the slopes of Durbanville Hills, a 9-hole parkland course with views across Table Bay to Robben Island and Table Mountain. The Bunker Restaurant and Sports Bar is located on site.
Shotgun starts run from 12pm to 4pm, allowing flexible arrival within that window. Groups of friends are welcome to join as individuals beyond the couple pair at R200 per additional person. A full golf refund is offered if the weather prevents play. Bookings are essential to secure a spot.
