Durban Country Club ranks inside the world’s top 100 golf courses and is a combination of the old and the new. Opened in 1922, many consider this to be one of the country’s premier golf establishments.The course is set along Durban’s natural coastline with sand dunes and views of the Indian Ocean a constant feature of the round. The Club has played host to the South African Open on 16 occasions.
One of the defining characteristics of Durban Country Club are the massive undulations on the fairways, especially noticeable on the 5th, 8th and 17th holes. Offering a typical links layout, the coastal sand dunes on which the course is built, offer an interesting and sometimes difficult round to both the amateur and pro golfer alike.
