Event information
Deadly Dozen brings its hybrid fitness race format to Green Point Athletic Stadium, combining twelve 400m runs with twelve strength-based stations on the inner field. The format includes movements such as farmers carries, deadlifts, lunges, snatches, burpee broad jumps and devil presses, completed back-to-back across the full course.
The race is open to all fitness levels, with no qualification required, and can be entered as a solo effort, in doubles sharing the labour stations, or as part of a relay team. Organisers describe the format as standardised and accessible while still demanding enough to challenge experienced athletes.
Beyond the race itself, the day includes a spectator vendor village, a kids' play area, recovery zones and a beer garden, positioning the event as a broader community day out for racers and supporters alike. All entries include finisher photography and a finisher's patch.
The event forms part of a wider Deadly Dozen series, with further 2026 editions also held in Durban and Pretoria.
