Maboneng Art & Craft Market Walking tour kicks off in Sandton, where it takes guests to the Carlton Centre and Johannesburg’s buzzing eastern side to browse art and craft shops and stalls. Guests get the opportunity to meet local urban artists while learning about the art galleries and studio spaces in Maboneng’s thriving creative hub.
The tour is a city exploration tour led by an informative local guide who takes guests to a mix of art galleries and retail and studio spaces to show why the precinct draws it’s trademark inner-city chic art-going crowd. The many market stalls allow participants to sample local artisan food and produce.
The walking tour is an opportunity to support local artisans and shop for artistic and African goods while being informed about Maboneng’s history and rejuvenation. The tour is a half-day tour lasting approximately five hours. Entry fees and transfers from Sandton and Rosebank are included.
