The annual Cape Town Squad International Film Festival is back for its third edition at the rooftop cinema of Grand Daddy Boutique Hotel.
Cape Town Squad is an independent production company founded by award-winning actors/filmmakers Jacques Adriaanse and Natasha Mayet. Their goals are to foster collaboration and create opportunities amongst indie filmmakers and give voice to diverse stories from all around the world, including Africa.
This year's festival, themed 'The Future of Film', welcomes AI films and is proudly sponsored by Final Draft, Coverfly, Topaz Labs, Cine Media, AIVA and Filmscape, including The European Independent Film Festival.
Attendees have the opportunity to attend industry panels, and networking sessions, and watch a lineup of officially selected short films followed by an award ceremony. The final programme is announced once the films are selected a few weeks before the festival opens.
Film enthusiasts can connect with indie filmmakers and explore the future of filmmaking with industry experts. Winners stand to receive prizes, including a free shoot at FilmScape and filmmaking tools from international sponsors.
