The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra continues its Winter Symphony season with Dutch conductor Arjan Tien and South African pianists Nina Schumann and Megan Geoffrey-Prins.
Schumann is an award-winning veteran of the local music scene, having been appointed Head of Piano at Stellenbosch University in 1999. Geoffrey-Prins is a rising, internationally acclaimed star in the classical world, having been named National Arts Festival Standard Bank Young Artist of the Year in 2019. The programme features Ravel's “Alborada del gracioso” from Miroirs; Poulenc's Concerto for Two Pianos; and Stravinsky's Petrushka (1947 version).
