Event information
Constantia Uitsig holds acclaim for its historical significance in addition to its high-quality wines, culinary excellence, and its commitment to offering visitors a well-rounded experience that combines superb wines and a range of different offerings. Of these experiences, the most famous are the Heritage Market, Blockhouse Kitchen, la Grotto Ristorante, Bike Park and the lauded Wine Shop.
The Heritage Market offers a variety of experiences ranging from slow-churned ice cream, to craft beer and single-origin coffee. From deluxe fine chocolates and cakes to the freshest vegan dishes and the best sushi this side of Japan.
Blockhouse Kitchen is focused on sharing the passion for accessible and seasonal food. It’s about staying true to the belief in simple and classic cooking. They aim to use only the freshest produce from sustainable and local South African growers and farmers. Furthermore, Blockhouse Kitchen follows ethical practises like using animals, fish and vegetables in their entirety - 'Nose to Tail, Root to Leaf.' Visit Blockhouse for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner and experience for yourself the taste of conscious cooking.
La Grotto Ristorante has been described by guests as delicious authentic & organic Italian cuisine. This is the newest addition to the restaurants at Uitsig. Serving hearty and flavourful authentic Italian food, made by hand using organic ingredients. Pizzas, Pastas, Seafood and Veal form part of the wide range of dishes available to order.
Constantia Uitsig is also proud to present a select range of world-class wines that pay tribute to the unique terroir and heritage of the famed countryside. The Uitsig Wine Shop allows guests to come and enjoy some wine by the glass and experience the award-winning vintages. The new wine shop is no longer in the Heritage Market but straight in front as you drive through the gates.
