This Culture Connect tour is led by award-winning landscape architect, Clare Burgess, and takes in the astonishing trees in the iconic Company’s Garden in the heart of the Cape Town. Some of the trees date back hundreds of years.
Burgess is co-founder of TreeKeepers Cape Town, an association committed to conserving the urban forest in our city landscape by promoting the value of trees. The history and sculpture of the garden will be included in the discussion.
The tour starts and finishes in the Garden Director's old house, now Coffee at The Vine and Heritage Shop at the Company’s Garden.
