This year's Classics for All festival line-up once again features a rich combination of orchestras, choirs, and quartets for a weekend in Greyton and Genadendal.
The event hosts a wide variety of musicians, from young artists to industry professionals, to perform classical favourites and original works across venues in the area. From ballet dancers to acclaimed singers, the festival promises to be a celebration of classical music in the scenic Overberg region.
Some of the highlights at this year's edition include:
- Classic Zanne by Zanne Stapelberg, an award-winning soprano who has performed in many operas, recorded a SAMA-nominated album, and starred in many musical theatre productions.
- CELLISSIMO, a group of six celli players from the acclaimed Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, playing traditional classics and silver screen hits.
Elogio de la Danza, an innovative collaboration between dancers from various disciplines that guides audiences through four centuries of music and movement.
- Earth, Fire and Wind, a performance by acclaimed string and clarinet players that moves across genres while performing works by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, and Piazzolla.
