City Skate Tours Johannesburg explores South African cities as urban playgrounds through skateboarding.
The brainchild of Ayanda Mnyandu, City Skate Tours offers an opportunity to discover Johannesburg’s hidden stories and history from a skater’s perspective. The company also welcomes novice skaters, and starts all its tours with a skateboarding lesson.
Tours include a full three hour tour of Johannesburg, as well as 'half tours' of Maboneng and Marshalltown/ Newtown. Under 18’s are welcome with adult supervision, and skateboards, elbow, knee, wrist guards and helmets are provided on request.
Group and private skating lessons are also provided.
