Cape Town Science Centre hosts a holiday programme focused on taking a deeper look into Astronomy with fun-filled, hands-on workshops and captivating demonstrations.
All of the activities aim to bring the field of astronomy to people of all ages and walks of life. The programme is accompanied by the intriguing Light Room and Camera Obscura tours, as well as Edutaining Science Shows. Keeping with the theme of astronomy, they will also be offering Planetarium Shows for all ages.

CAMERA OBSCURA TOURS

ASTROTREK VIRTUAL REALITY
Embark on an unforgettable journey with Astrotrek Virtual Reality at the Cape Town Science Centre! Step into the captivating world of VR and discover the science of light like never before. Immerse yourself in stunning virtual environments that transport you to distant places, all while learning about the wonders of light. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience, proudly sponsored by the National Research Fund (NRF) and the South African Radio Astronomy Observation (SARAO). It’s a must-do for all science enthusiasts!

LIGHT ROOM EXHIBITION
Welcome to the wonderful Light Room at the Cape Town Science Centre. Step inside and prepare to be amazed by the magic of light. Explore the beautiful colours and discover how light can reflect and create cool effects. The friendly facilitators will show you all the secrets of light and make it a fun experience for everyone. Get ready to have a bright and enlightening time in the Light Room!
