Event information
Cape Town covers duo Me & Mr Green returns to café Roux for a set dedicated entirely to the catalogue of British alternative rock band Coldplay. The show marks the duo's return to the venue after a hiatus, and is structured as a tribute to one of the world's best-selling acts, whose career spans releases from their 2000 debut Parachute through to the Music of the Spheres world tour era.
Me & Mr Green is fronted by Daniel Green, a London-born musician who spent nearly a decade leading the successful Cape Town covers act Me & Mr Brown before forming this duo with guitarist Jeandre Schultz. Their repertoire spans pop and rock hits across several decades, and Coldplay tracks, including "Something Just Like This" and "Sky Full of Stars," feature regularly in their sets.
The show spans Coldplay's career, incorporating both stripped-back acoustic arrangements and full-band versions of the group's best-known songs. Café Roux, established in 2006 in the Noordhoek Farm Village below Chapman's Peak, has developed a reputation as one of the South Peninsula's most intimate live music venues. The event is table-seated; groups booking under the same email address will be automatically seated together.
Off-street parking is available at the venue.
