Capedry is an independent dried fruit label launched over 30 years ago by Lizbe Viljoen from her garage in Montagu. Today the range is popular for their range of delicious dried fruit and nuts products at factory prices. A large selection of their fruit sourced from South African farmers mostly in the Montagu region are naturally dried outdoors.
It’s worthwhile adding the venue to your list when visiting Montagu, especially with kids. Visit their venue in Montagu for the full range of products on offer, or shop online. There is a family-friendly bistro that serves daily breakfast and lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. Expect proudly South African fare on the menu with favourites such as bobotie and offal alongside tramezzinis, toasties, and other light lunch options.
The trading hours are :
Monday – Friday from 07:15 – 17:00
Saturday from 08:00 – 17:00
Sunday 09:00 – 15:00
Keep the kids entertained with a FREE tractor farm tour running every Saturday morning. The tour departs from the Capedry venue and runs for 30 minutes. Arrive early as seating is limited and operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Wine Boutique at Capedry gives visitors the chance to taste and try vintages from the best wineries in the region at cellar-door prices.
