Cape Town Cocktail Week turns the city into a map-led, week-long cocktail festival, rather than an event in a single venue. Guests chart their own route using the official Cocktail Safari map between about 40 participating bars across Camps Bay, Sea Point, Green Point, the V&A Waterfront, the City Centre, Gardens, Tamboerskloof and the East City. At each venue, wristband holders get a dedicated festival menu with at least two full-sized cocktails.
The week opens on 7 and 8 December with a free Education Programme at the Mount Nelson, a Belmond Hotel, with seminars, panels, masterclasses, workshops and guided tastings from local and international drinks industry voices. Places are first-come, first-served.
Three international bars take part with guest shifts and takeovers: Svanen from Oslo, TAG from Kraków and Nouvelle Vague from Tirana, all recognised within the 50 Best Bars ecosystem. The wider programme includes tastings, games, competitions, brand activations and live entertainment.
