The Cape Town Carnival once again brings together almost 50 000 spectators to the streets of Cape Town for an evening of fun, dancing and celebration.
Imagine a realm where the everyday and the extraordinary blend seamlessly – a technicolour savannah, a deep sea brimming with mythical creatures, a whimsical world made entirely of sweets, and vibrant landscapes of feathers and fynbos.
This annual spectacle is a melting pot of culture and heritage in a colourful display of beautiful costumes, incredible floats, fantastic music and captivating dance performances featuring more than 1 500 dancers - drawing visitors and locals to the world-renowned Mother City.
Although it is free to enjoy the carnival, there are limited paid seating options.
