Event information
Jeremy Loops brings his annual hometown festival back to Muizenberg Park, a day of live music set just above the ocean. Loops lives in Muizenberg, and calls playing the show in the park one of his favourites of the year.
Bongeziwe Mabandla is the first artist announced alongside Loops, who headlines the evening set. Mabandla is a multiple award-winning singer-songwriter whose music moves between African folk, soul and contemporary alternative, and he has been on the festival’s wish list for years. More South African artists are still to be announced.
Guests bring picnic blankets and settle on the grass. Own food, picnic baskets, camping chairs, blankets, cushions and smaller beach umbrellas are allowed, with umbrellas and chairs placed behind the jungle gym area so nobody’s view is blocked.
No liquids are allowed inside, including water, but there is a free water point, so bring empty bottles to fill, or buy water from the bar. Glass, alcohol, illegal substances, cooler boxes with liquids, weapons, gazebos and sharp knives are not allowed.
