The College of Magic hosts its annual Cape Junior Magic Championships on 8 October, which sees 11 youngsters vie for the title at the Homecoming Theatre.
On the day, 11 young magicians from across the Western Cape show off their skills in both close-up and stage magic with a display of card magic, sleight of hand, mentalism, illusions and other tricks. Guest performances on the evening come from magician Liam Joubert and previous Cape Junior Magic Champion Sahil Samlal, while Sinethemba Bawuti MCs the event.
The close-up championship takes place in the Avalon Auditorium from 4pm, the stage magic championship takes place in the Star Theatre from 7pm and the Street Magic Contest takes place in the foyer between the other two events.
