Bukkenberg Pottery Studio is a gallery, studio and guest cottage run by David Schlapobersky and Felicity Potter. The duo produces a wide range of studio pottery and ceramics which visitors can view daily in their studio. Open Weekends are held regularly at the studio in Swellendam, where guests exhibitors with various discipline are hosted.
Schlapobersky and Potter have been working together since 1973, using the traditional high temperature and reduction-fired pottery method. Other than exhibitions, pottery workshops are also hosted covering all aspects of high temperature and reduction-fired pottery. Workshops can be customized to suit groups interests or requirements. The spacious studio accommodates up to eight people at a time and allows for larger-scale projects.
The studio can be found halfway between Cape Town and the Garden Route. There is a self-contained cottage on the premises that can house up to four people in two double rooms.
