Situated in the historic core of Buitenverwachting, overlooking the magnificent 250 year old Norfolk Pine, sprawling lawns and surrounding original Cape Dutch farm buildings, Buitenverwachting has one of the most beautiful picnic settings in Cape Town and is worth a visit.
Book a table at the famous wine tasting room or order the delicious platters from the tasting room, find a spot on the beautiful lawns to eat, drink and enjoy the summer sun. Platters on the lawn works on a first come first served basis, so be sure to arrive early to avoid disappointment. Savour your selection with only the best quality charcuterie, cheeses, bread, tapenades, jams, and other deliciousness! A must try is the homemade feta, olive & sundried tomato tapenade. All the pâtés and tapenades are homemade by the amazing kitchen staff.
It truly is the perfect place to come and spend quality time with your family and friends. Don’t forget to bring your own picnic blanket and camp chairs but please note that no self-catering is allowed.
