The Symphony Choir of Johannesburg and the Phoenix Orchestra perform Bach's magnificent St John Passion.
Led in conduction by Maestro Richard Cock. This choral masterpiece brings an evening of musical storytelling at its finest. The role of the Evangelist is sung by acclaimed tenor, Siyabonga Maqungo.
He is joined by Chris Vale in the role of Jesus (bass) and Bongani Khubeka as Pontius Pilate (bass), along with Brittany Smith (soprano), Minette du Toit Pearce (mezzo-soprano), and Bongani Mthombeni (tenor).
