ABFAB Drag, the Absolutely Fabulous Drag Show, returns to the Artscape Theatre for its fourth edition, presented as part of the Artscape Women's Humanity Festival. Directed by Basil Appollis with choreography by Nkosinathi Sangweni, the show brings together Cape Town's leading drag performers for a two-hour variety showcase with a 30-minute interval.
The 2026 lineup includes Vida Fantabisher, Manila von Teez (Miss Gay Cape Town 2014, runner-up on SA's Got Talent 2016), Kat Gilardi (Miss Cape Town Pride), Jayde Kay Johnson, Angel Lalamore and Mitchell Darling. Von Teez and Gilardi are cast members of the Showmax reality series Beaulah: Queens van die Kaap, currently in its second season. MC for the evening is Terence Bridgett. The 2026 production is dedicated to Soli Philander, comedian, actor, director and broadcast personality from Elsies River who served as the long-running compere of ABFAB Drag until his passing in 2021, and Alfred Rietman.
