99 Loop St gallery’s primary objective revolves around preserving the context for contemporary art when it is removed from the artist’s studio. This being to enable a better understanding of any given work’s relevance once exhibited. Its exhibition program aims to be dynamic in its essence, thereby contributing to art discourse.
Since its establishment in 2015, the gallery continues to support creatives whose practices engage with intimate lived experiences that are situated within larger cultural and aesthetic contexts.
Loop Editions is an add-on to the gallery, and showcases artists' originals, editions and collectables in a bright and sunny café space en suite to the gallery.
99 Loop is located in the heart of Cape Town on the corner of Loop and Church Streets. Both their upstairs and downstairs galleries are available to rent. They also offer worldwide shipping.
