The Easter Sunday Brunch at Liberty’s Restaurant is not a small affair. The chef has put together an enormous buffet-style brunch that covers every base for every taste and age.

Guests can look forward to Cape Malay specialities like pickled fish and coconut koesisters; an extensive charcuterie board with some of the top South African products, a selection of chilled pannacotta, fresh fruit and salmon with cream cheese; a tantalising sweet flapjack station; delicious vegetarian quiches; a large hot section with items like hash browns and chipolatas, a large pastry table, and an assortment of baked mini cheesecakes.

Tryn Restaurant at Steenberg

A specially crafted Easter menu by Executive Chef Kerry Kilpin and her team at Tryn starts with a glass of Steenberg 1682 Chardonnay Cap Classique on arrival, before experiencing the menu which, of course, includes decadent chocolate treats in true Easter style. You can unwind in the lush interiors, or enjoy the last warm rays of summer out on the Vineyard Terrace that overlooks the vineyards and mountains.

To extend your Easter lunch into a day full of treats, Steenberg also offers its own luxury easter egg hunt, as well as walking and bike trails, access to the Norval Foundation, the neighbouring Steenberg Golf Club, and the Steenberg spa.

Middelvlei braai for Easter Lunch

Make it an Easter Braai at Middelvlei

Middelvlei Wines in Stellenbosch is renowned for its braais. This Easter it is offering a braai twist on Easter lunch, with the estate’s resident braai expert braaiing your meat to perfection while you tuck into freshly baked potbrood with lashings of homemade snoek pate or jam. Each guest gets a juicy lamb chop, a chicken sosatie and delicious boerewors, accompanied by potato salad, green salad and pumpkin fritters. A children’s option is also available.

Guests also have the option of ordering delicious homemade pickled fish or a hamburger and chips. As an added extra, there is live music from O’Ryan Winter 12pm – 3pm, and kids have free roam of the property to explore or feed the farm animals.
