The open air chess board is often overlooked… but the Waterfront Theatre School recognised it as a fantastic blank canvas for a piece inspired by the Netflix blockbuster, The Queen’s Gambit.
You’ll find the QR code in the window below the stairs of Life Grand Cafe, where it looks onto the chess board. Built as a Post Office in 1902, this fabulous building is now home to the opulent yet welcoming Life Grand Cafe – a stalwart of the Waterfront scene.
