From the producers that brought you the hugely successful 'Here's To You - The Simon & Garfunkel Songbook' comes this year's magical musical offering: 'Up on the Roof - The Carole King Songbook', directed by Elizma Badenhorst and showcasing some of the industry’s most talented performers and instrumentalists.
Carole King is an American singer-songwriter and musician who has been active since 1958. The most successful female songwriter of the latter half of the 20th century in the US, she wrote or co-wrote 118 pop hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Renowned for her extraordinary contributions to the music industry, King has left an indelible mark with her iconic compositions such as 'You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman', 'I Feel the Earth Move', 'You've Got a Friend', and many more. This captivating musical journey through Carole King's repertoire brings these beloved songs and many more to life.
This production features a cast of six multi-talented female performers including Ashley Butcher (bass, guitar, ukulele), Louise Duhain (piano/keyboards), Angelica Hattingh (guitar), Sanli Jooste (cello), Neo Motaung (percussion) and Tiisetso Sefatsa (percussion).
