The Winter Feast is the ultimate opportunity for Joburgers to explore the award-winning wines of Babylonstoren right on their doorstep. This seasonal food and wine-tasting event in Johannesburg takes place at Ground the Venue in Muldersdrift.
Joburg’s passionate food and wine lovers come together for an all-day celebration of carefully paired fine vintages from Babylonstoren while the team at Ground the Venue elevate the experience with a three-course set menu. A Babylonstoren sommelier or expert also hosts a guided tasting of the wine farm’s best offering.
The dining experience kicks off with a selection of sharing gourmet bread and butter, an autumnal pumpkin brioche and warming French onion soup with Gruyere croutons. For mains, guests can choose between slow-cooked lamb confit on a bed of duck fat potatoes or pea and goat’s cheese risotto which is suited for vegetarians. End with a rich creme brulee and pistachio nut nougat.
