In a performance set out to uplift and encourage voters to have their say, Opera UCT presents the cream of young South African vocal talent together with UCT Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jeremy Silver, in a concert titled The Sound of Freedom.
This year, more voters than ever in history will head to the polls for national elections in at least 64 countries, representing a total of about 49% of the global population.
The performance is a musical tour through opera composers’ responses to the subjects of freedom and democracy in this thought-provoking and entertaining concert.
