The Edge Mountain Retreat is a resort situated in Hogsback, a charming little village in the Eastern Cape. The Afromontane Forest is a captivating sight as its unspoiled beauty is engulfed by swirling clouds and mist.
The Edge Mountain Retreat truly embraces life on the edge as several self-catering cottages are situated right at the edge of the cliff. Bed-and-breakfast lodging options are available as well as the choice to enjoy meals offered at the resident eatery. The casual restaurant serves homemade dishes and caters to all.
Feel free to wander off into the charming garden or walk the Labyrinth. This is an eleven-circuit Labyrinth, similar in design to the Labyrinth in the Chartres Cathedral in France. It is among the most complex Labyrinth designs and one of the biggest Labyrinths in the world.
In addition to the labyrinth experience, there’s an opportunity to explore the local market held on Saturday mornings. A Friday night market is hosted once a month where guests can shop local crafts, tasty eats and treats, and craft beers on tap.
