Event information
Plumari Private Game Reserve is bordered by the Magaliesberg Mountains to the north - home to leopards and resident Cape vultures - and traversed by the Hekpoort River. Visitors to the region find themselves in a diverse range of natural landscape, from bushveld acacia to grass plains, poplar forests, rocky mountains and wetlands.
The Reserve is estimated to have up to 20 species of larger game, including the Big Five, as well as several species of antelope and plains game. There are also hundreds of types of smaller animals, from honey badgers and porcupines to antbears and brown hyenas. The Reserve boasts a rich bird life, too, with resident species joined by migrants from the Kalahari and the Lowveld at different times of the year; around 210 different species birdwatchers to spot.
