Cape Town Opera and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual Easter collaboration is back with a performance of Mozart’s evergreen Requiem. The mass – a tribute to the departed – reveals Mozart’s compositional mastery in full force, with powerful orchestration, and ethereal choruses.
Featuring Cape Town Opera Soloists, Judith Neilson Young Artists, the Cape Town Opera Chorus, The Symphony Choir of Cape Town and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of principal guest conductor Bernhard Gueller, this performance is an Easter weekend highlight.
The soloists are Siphamandla Moyake (soprano), Julia Portela Piñón (alto), Mongezi Mosoaka (tenor) and Lonwabo Mose (bass).
