Metropolar is an immersive multimedia performance that blends poetry, live music, and visual art to tell the story of Johannesburg.
The performance is staged through a 35-minute hand-drawn animation accompanied by live music and spoken word performance by IIIFoet, a collective of artists pushing the boundaries of storytelling. Led by award-winning poet Modise Sekgothe, this show reimagines the city’s contrasts through powerful spoken word, mesmerising guitar by Jotam Schoeman, and James Frank Robb's experimental soundscapes.
The show takes guests on a journey through Johannesburg’s streets and her hidden layers in a one-of-a-kind sensory experience.
