The highly anticipated Open Studios returns to Cape Town, offering a rare and exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the creative studios that are shaping the Cape's skyline.
For two consecutive evenings, more than 20 of the city’s leading architecture firms, landscape designers, urban planners, and interior designers open their doors to the public. Each studio creates its own event with a range of interactive activities including virtual reality, model building, and creative workshops.
The studios that are opening their doors this year include BHC School of Design, Bomax, Craft of Architecture, Design Network, DHK, GAPP, Hours Clear, Kevin Fellingham Architects, KMH, Meyer & Associates, Mobius Interior Architects, Ohkre Collective, Open City Architects, Paragon Group, SAOTA, SEA, SourceIBA, Stewart & Partners, TwoFiveFive, Urban Concepts, Urban Think Tank Empower,Yes & Studio, Wolff Architects and VDMMA.
On the first evening, visitors can explore studios in the Central Business District, from De Waterkant to Kloof Street, while the following evening spotlights studios in the creative hubs of Woodstock and Garden. The event is free to attend and route maps are available at every location to help plan each visit.
